[ On his desk is a stack of paper, with some crumpled up ones on the floor. One is ripped to pieces, like frustration got the best of him. There's one or two letters though, shoved up near the back. ]

Mom,

I'm stuck somewhe
I'm somewhere, don't know when I'll be back. I'm writing this just in case I don't come back.

There's some stuff I really want to tell you, but I can't. It's kind of weird. And I dont want to freak you out. Just promise me you'll stay away from the booze. And make sure dad is happy, whether he's getting bullied by Biff or making him wax the car, or whatever. I might not say it a lot but I love you.

Thank you for going easy on me when I burned the carpet when I was 8.

Dad,

I'm really proud of you for standing up for yourself and for mom. Before I thought you were too afraid to do anything to anyone who picked on you, but you don't do that anymore. I don't tell you this enough either but I love you. If anything happens to me keep your book handy nearby okay? Set it on my grave or something.

[ The ink is smeared in some places, almost blotchy. Like he had been crying while he wrote this. ]

Linda and Dave,

I'm happy you guys are happy. I'm sorry when I picked on you guys or when I kept getting you in trouble because I was the youngest and mom and dad always believed me. If anything happens I just want you to know that I love you, and you guys were the best sister and brother ever. Good luck in the future, but I know you'll do great.





Doc,

I can't tell my parents this but it doesn't look good. I really don't think I'll be coming back. Think I'm going to die.

Something happened and I'm stuck in this place. People are dying and it's really scary. I've seen stuff that I don't even think a time machine can take away. I've never been so scared before and I really wish you were here, because you could figure what the hell was going on.

I just want you to know you were the best friend I ever had. Even though going back in time was screwed up sometimes, it'll be something I'll never forget. I'm glad that I got to meet you, no matter what shit we'd get in together with your messed up inventions. Give Einie a hug for me.
